Londres [i.e. London]. Chez William Darton, [s.d., c.1824] First edition in French.

The first edition in French of English poet and writer Agnes Strickland's (1796-1874) Rosetta's birth-day, in which the titular young lady elects to celebrate the day of her birth by giving - rather than receiving - presents, resolving to make clothes for a local family in need. On the morning of the day itself, breakfast finished, she sets about her studies as usual, opening up Murray's Exercises and eagerly correcting examples under the third rule of syntax. A festive occasion indeed.

OCLC records a single copy (Indiana); COPAC adds one further (Oxford).
