Calendrier Historial, often lacking, numerous woodcut illustrations in the text, a folding plan, and two (of four) woodcut plates. Contemporary blind-tooled calf. Extremities worn, upper joint split, loss to head and foot of spine. Very occasional chipping to margins, both plates detached - one torn along vertical fold, the other lacking lower half, some manuscipt notes/highlights to Calendrier.
An exceptionally finely printed Geneva Bible from the presses of François II Estienne, son of Robert Estienne, who practiced intermittently in the city from 1562 to 1582, printing hardly more than a dozen works.
