A collection of thirty-four issues of The Harvest Field, a monthly periodical devoted to the interests of missionary work in British India.
The magazine, launched at Bangalore in 1880, was from 1892, and throughout much of its run, edited by Wesleyan missionary Henry Gulliford (1852-1937), sometime secretary of the Christian Literature Society, Madras. Devoted to the effective training of indigenous ministers, Gulliford was responsible for integrating the former Basel Mission in the Nilgiri Hills into the Methodist District, and twice served as chairman of the Provincial Synod.
