The second edition of an historical study by Philip Moore Callow Kermode (1855-1932), Manx antiquarian, historian and naturalist, examining the Manx Crosses, a series of carved stone memorials scattered across the Isle of Man by Viking settlers. Kermode would serve as a founding member of both the Manx Society and the Isle of Man Natural History and Antiquarian Society, the latter of which he would also preside over from 1884.
