Oddly the date on the case is erroneously given as 1756. Slipcase worn at edges. Rubbed, with some loss to both volumes at head and foot of spine, slight surface loss to boards. Early printed book label of M. General Adams to FEP of both volumes, ink inscription of "Catherine Barton 1752" to recto of both FFEPs, loss to bottom edge of B5 of volume two - touching text with some loss of sense.
