Heavy rubbing to extremities with extensive surface loss, joints cracked. Hinges cracked, foxed throughout. This present copy, although it bears little internal evidence, emanates from the staunchly Catholic Salvin family, of Croxdale Hall. Ink initials and numerals to the title suggest that this copy belonged to Jarvis Salvin.
